It's been a long time since a take-out Chinese place impressed me, but I was blown away by the flavor profile in their Sesame Chicken! Very nice and garlicky sauce with the perfect balance of savory and sweet (not overly syrupy), and the chunks of chicken were perfectly juicy and crispy fried...not dried out with soggy breading. The portions are huge too, and prices are very reasonable. Dinner combination came with chicken fried rice and a chicken egg roll (which was just ok, nothing amazing) for $8 after tax. I would probably order with steamed white rice instead of the fried next time, and perhaps ask for a little extra broccoli with the chicken. I am just so glad the closest Chinese place to my new house is a good one! I will be back...next up, Singapore Noodles...

The steamed dumplings were good! The cashew chicken was less so. Asked for "extra spicy" and it was not spicy at all. Wouldn't say I'd make the trip up here for it (was finishing a day of fishing on lake st clair) but I'd consider stopping for a bite if I felt like some Chinese if I were already up there. Still nothing special based on one trip. Dumplings good. Cashew chicken was like every other meh Chinese joint in Detroit. The chicken was sorta square shaped and strip like - seemed a bit like it was reconstituted chicken or perhaps canned.

Great service. The staff is very friendly and work hard for your food! Their string green beans are truly amazing! Sesame Chicken and sauce is amazing. Good stuff!

Was just ok... chicken was in squares and didn't taste like much. Didn't experiment with much more. But I didn't like the chicken fried rice

Food was good - been on a steady decline. Went today and the egg rolls were coId. Shorted one as well, only had 3 when we ordered 4. Final gross part was when my son pulled a hair out of his sesame chicken and asked my wife if it was hers. NASTY! Too bad, not many places in harrison township, but I won't be back.

Great prices and yummy!! I have only every done carry our but technically you could eat there. It pretty small though and I would feel uncomfortable. Not the best communication skills but never got the wrong order. I really prefer this place over any others in area. (another Chinese place at Harper for sit down but not as good) Not really a sit down and get served kinda place but I highly recommended for take out.

I readily place this restaurant alongside PF Changs for the quality of most of their dishes (for about half the price). I've tried everything on the menu, and just about everything is good-to-great. The Hunan Shrimp in particular is a stand-out dish, loaded with big shrimp and full of flavor. The hot and sour soup is tasty and loaded with meat and vegetables. They also have a soup I've never seen anywhere else: wonton egg drop soup, which is wonton noodles immersed in egg drop soup (instead of the usual wonton broth). Excellent. The exceptions to the usually high quality - as some have mentioned already - are anything involving the brown gravy, like Almond Chicken and Egg Foo Yung. Admittedly, it's bland. But, with so many great alternatives, there shouldn't be a need to resort to those. Also, if you order the excellent General Tso Chicken, be prepared to order extra sauce, because I don't think there's enough of it. NOTE: the Sesame Chicken is virtually the same dish (which I consider to be a good thing), but less spicy. It, too, needs extra sauce on the side to round it out. Very highly recommended!

This is my go-to place for Chinese takeout. They have a few small tables inside, but this place is geared more toward takeout than dine-in. Generous portions and consistently good. Prices are fair as well. We especially enjoy the General Tao's and Sesame chicken. Note: I suggest to always call ahead whether you are dining in or getting carryout. I don't know if the owner is having personal problems or what, but lately this place has been closed often when it should be open. When we went there today there was a sign posted on the counter that said it would be closed for the next 5 days due to personal reasons. I'll be bummed if this place closes.

The food used to be good . I have to admit that. I decided to treat myself to egg foo yung (bad for ya, ya know). Got it home and thought I was eating the styrofoam container. No flavor in the patties, rice , or gravy. Called to complain .. and that's when things really went downhill ! I am all for diversity, but I do NOT want someone on the phone that cannot communicate in ENGLISH! They are in the United States, receiving American currency.. learn the basics of the language! China Moon from now on...at least there, we can talk about it.

This place is in a strip mall, small dining area but it's mainly geared towards carryout. They have a dish called Singapore noodles that is a curry spiced thin rice noodle dish that is decent. If you've ever had Thai curry fried rice this is kind of the noodle equivalent. Pros: Huge protein portions in most dishes. I like that. I like that a lot. They have Snapple. The almond chicken is huge. Cons: The gravy for the almond chicken has a weak not so appealing flavor base and kind of syrupy. The Singapore noodles (just a suggestion) would really pop if they added a BBQ pork to it but I guess you could order some ribs and accomplish the same thing. 3.25 Stars

Super yummy! I have never had a bad dish. This isn't fine dining, it's cheap Chinese food... But still delicious! I recommend!

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
